DRY MIXED RECYCLING
Trident’s dry mixed recycling (DMR) collections have proved very popular as an easy and cost effective way of recycling waste. Materials such as paper, card, plastics and cans are mixed together in the same bin. This is easy for customers and improves the carbon footprint associated with collecting multiple waste streams.
Paper and cardboard can typically account for 20% of all waste produced by your business. By separating these valuable resources, you will not only save money on waste disposal costs, but you will significantly improve your recycling performance overnight. Trident offers dedicated cardboard and paper recycling collections throughout the south east. Whether you are producing small amounts of paper or large volumes of cardboard, we can provide a service that meets your needs.
If your business is office based then our dedicated paper collection service may be exactly what you need. We provide 240ltr wheelie bins that are unobtrusive and ideal for collecting waste paper.
Trident’s glass recycling service has proved very popular with pubs, clubs, schools and restaurants. By separating this heavy waste stream from your general waste you will avoid significant landfill tax costs and dramatically improve your recycling performance. Please remember that broken glass can prove to be a hazardous if not stored correctly. Trident can provide suitable containers to store your glass safely until it is collected for recycling.
CANS AND METALS
Trident collects all types of metal, from simple drinks cans to heavy metals such as iron and steel. Please contact us if you require advice on the most suitable container to store your metal waste. We can provide regular or ad hoc bulk collections for these waste streams.
The way we deal with food waste is coming under intense scrutiny, not just from businesses who want to achieve a zero landfill solution but from government bodies and local authorities alike. We treat food waste in one of two ways – composting or anaerobic digestion. If you can segregate your food into a clean waste stream free from contamination, then we can offer you a sustainable disposal solution that is better for the environment.
Once you have removed everything we can recycle you will inevitably be left with ‘residual’ waste, otherwise known as ‘general waste.’ Trident always seeks to divert your residual waste from landfill by seeking alternative disposal methods. This typically means your waste will go for to an incineration plant, or an MBT plant. The final destination of your waste will depend on your location and the type of residual material you have produced. Trident is committed to helping our customers achieve zero landfill wherever possible, and with landfill options rapidly diminishing, the task is becoming increasingly easy to achieve.
